BEFORE YOU ARE CHARGED THE INITIAL FEE, we will discuss what you specifically need so we both completely understand what you want and what I will provide. We might cover various research techniques, databases and websites. Depending on your needs, I can give you step by step instructions on starting or sharing a family tree, DNA testing, and breaking through “brick walls”.

I specialize in U.S. research but also have experience with research in Puerto Rico, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. I always use census which are a one stop shop of information and the most widely used resource in genealogical research. When partnered with vital records, obituaries, military records, court records, etc., the data collected will then represent a more accurate profile of your ancestors and their descendant’s lives. I also specialize in breaking through “brick walls” Using DNA in research is such a new and growing field. I can help you understand and interpret your DNA test results or help you choose the test needed.

For data input, I use Ancestry.com. It can download your tree into Family Tree Maker a recently improved software program by Mac Kiev, use Ancestry’s “Tools” to create genealogical reports, but I am also open to input your data into other software programs or family tree websites as needed. Creating genealogical reports such as a descendant report or family group sheet are a great way to share your family history with other family members, bring to family reunions, or share with other researchers.

After the initial fees are paid and the four hours of work is done, you will have the option for me to continue researching. At that time, we will again discuss goals and budgets. You can choose to collaborate as we go along or just have me report back on occasion and when needed. You will always have Ancestry.com to keep up with my progress.

$100.00 Initial fee

Initial fee covers up to 4 hours of Genealogical work and a Genealogical written or verbal report. Depending on your specific needs, It can include but are NOT LIMITED TO: RESEARCH, BUILDING A TREE (Data input), VERIFYING AND CORRECTING AN EXISTING TREE, DNA analysis and interpretation, and more.

$25.00 each additional hour for all genealogy services.

I am a professional genealogist that does work for law firms, and lineage societies such as the SAR and DAR. Anne helped me obtain documentation from a county court local to her that would have otherwise required I travel there in person to obtain. This sort of abstracting work is related to both genealogy and title and is vital to both. Being thorough, exacting and diligent is a must for this type of research.
