“To say that Anne Vanderleest is thorough would be an understatement. I hired Ann to research both my father and my mother’s sides of the family. I had some information on both families but it was limited and certainly unverified. Anne’s thorough and extremely well documented research opened up a past filled with names previously unknown to me. No, I’m not related to George Washington but one of my ancestors sat next to him in church. A marvelous experience seeing the pages of my history unfolding before my eyes. I cannot praise her highly enough. If you consider her services you may be embarrassed to discover that one of your ancestors was an outlaw but you can be assured that Anne can provide the wanted poster”.

Anne became my genealogical reference person about 12 years ago when I needed help locating information on my husband’s third great grandfather. Since that time Anne and I have built trees, looked up info about those ancestors hiding behind brick walls for ourselves and many others. We soon began working with that new stuff called DNA and she has added that knowledge to her bag.
Anne is named in my genealogical will – do I trust and count on her? You betcha!

I am a professional genealogist that does work for law firms, and lineage societies such as the SAR and DAR. Anne helped me obtain documentation from a county court local to her that would have otherwise required I travel there in person to obtain. This sort of abstracting work is related to both genealogy and title and is vital to both. Being thorough, exacting and diligent is a must for this type of research. Anne was all this and more in her work and obtained everything I needed from the county court, and in record time! She provided the high-quality research that I depend on for my work. I am keeping her in my contact list for the next time I have something in the area, as I will look forward to working with her again. Well done!!

Cousin? How DNA Testing Change a Family by Jasper S. Lee. Published by: Archway Publishing

Anne Vanderleest has gone beyond the call of duty to help me reach the goals I had for identifying not only the biological history of this book’s subject but also of part of my entire family. I first met her when she was in Brandon, Mississippi, as the Rankin County Library genealogist. She is now a genealogist who helps many people sort out their genealogical heritage. Her home is in Concord, North Carolina. Thank you!
